This week I have felt like I am losing my mind over the conversation surrounding Kylie Jenner’s boob job. I think perhaps everyone needs to pick up a book or two about feminism, at LEAST. But that’s not what we’re here for, so.
Anyway, let’s get into it.
Well, fashion’s worst kept secret is a secret no more! Jonathan Anderson has officially been appointed as Christian Dior’s sole creative director— menswear, womenswear, couture, and all!
We all know if Jonathan Anderson has no fans I am dead and I’ve already basically shared my thoughts on this appointment when the Dior Men news came out, so I won’t repeat myself too much, but I can’t wait!
What’s crazy, though, is that he will be pumping out 18!!!!!! collections each year between Dior, JW Anderson, and JW Anderson for UNIQLO. I do think he can handle it, but it is an absurd ask and I don’t think we need that many collections of clothes each year, you know? Let the collections and creativity breathe.
Regardless, it’ll be fascinating to see the reaction to Jonathan’s Dior. I find that during Maria Grazia Chiuri’s time, people longed for the dreamy, fairytale that Dior was always know for, and while I do think Jonathan’s work is dreamy, I don’t think it’s the same kind of dreamy. However, he is incredible at world building and I think what consumers look for now more than ever is a distinct point of view, which Jonathan definitely has. And! The man is so tapped in and knows how to make things that sell.
- Haim for British GQ; You know I love a GQ POV. This is simple, but flirty and fun. It’s very Haim in the way that they always coordinate their looks without them ever feeling too on the nose similar. Styled by Karolyn Pho.

- Ayo Edebiri for WSJ; Ah yes, my fashion princess, always getting it right. To be fair, I also think WSJ is kind of great with their editorials. Also! Story by Recho Omondi, who we LOVE! Styled by Tonne Goodman.
- Sander Lak is launching a menswear label!!!!!!! AHHHH!!!!!!!!! You guys, I loved Sies Marjan so much— such a special brand, such beautiful colors. When it closed I was so, so sad, and now I am so, so happy! The label will debut at Paris Fashion Week Men’s late this month for all those who will be sitting on the edge of their seat.
- The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists have been announced:

- Burberry’s festival campaign focusing on music and being very Galstonbury is brilliant! Then to top it off it features Liam Gallagher and his children?! Very well done, especially because Oasis is going back on tour. It might be taking me a while to truly latch onto Daniel Lee’s Burberry, but the campaigns have been fantastic.
- I love Julio, I love Marni, I love this styling. It’s so silly, which is perfect for the Alice In Wonderland of it all that was pulled from in this collection. I also saw this collection IRL this week and it was really beautiful. That bubble skirt (you know the one) was incredible.
- Louis Vuitton Resort 2024 continues to be that girl when it comes to custom references, huh? I’m not complaining, that’s still one of my favorite collections to date. The dress is beautiful. The embroidery is stunning, the subtle cowl is nice, and I love the low cut sides. I also think the color plays really beautifully against the movie poster. However, I think I hate the styling. The bracelet (watch?) feels wrong and so does the hair, I don’t know. Actually, I just put my finer over the bracelet and the hair doesn’t bother me when its gone.
- Ever since the Met Gala, it is actually absurd how many things she has worn that would have been better for the theme than that Alaïa look. Anyway, this is hot. The tailoring is making me sweat and I love the subtle sparkle at the bottom. Also, let’s take a moment for that shoe!
Then she hit us with this Luar Fall 2025 fantasy.
AND, made Chanel look good! The silhouette is very Chanel but the leather feels very Miley. I feel like this coolness is something we’ll get more from Matthieu’s Chanel.
Then there was the Schiaparelli! I love the heavy shag fringe, however I think the dress should have been the woven organza with drop crystals all the way down.
- I loved these freaky little rabbit foot dresses on the runway and I can’t believe we haven’t seen them sooner and more often. The length of the dress is longer on Isabella than it was on the runway and so I think styling it without the black tights was smart here.
- The moment I saw Addison in this dress, I needed to know more, because it obviously compliments her album cover perfectly. Dara finally answered all my questions by revealing that she painted the dress, which was constructed by Matthew Neff. How special!
So that was this week! Sirens costume analysis coming tomorrow, or maybe Tuesday, we’ll see!
TTYL!!!
