When I tell you I thought yesterday was Saturday till literally this morning. Nothing really happened this week anyway, because fashion always tends to slow down around this time, so I could probably combine these two weeks together, but my OCD would never let me do that.
Anyway, let’s get into it.
- Emma Corrin for Vogue Germany; Oh how fun! Harry Lamber and Emma Corrin are truly a match made in heaven. Styled by Harry Lambert.
- Really great profile on Seán McGirr, made me want to be nicer to his next McQueen collection. Him saying Prince Louis has the most “McQueen energy” made me giggle.
- This conversation between Willy Chavarria and Tommy Hilfiger is also great. It also just feels right and personally makes me think about how I used to find Tommy aspirational as a child and now feel that way about Willy, if not more so. Willy is the future.
- Noah Johnson has been named the new editor in chief of Highsnobiety. Yay!
- I do like this, spicifically the way that this twisted fabric goes all the way down to the hemline where it seems to be entangled. I just wish that the waist seam wasn’t so obvious— it feels like it’s fighting with the fabric draped across the hips.
- Pamela Anderson wore a vintage dress from the 1960s, and I like this kind of vintage pull— one that isn’t relying on a identifiable runway moment everyone can clock. It feels very Pamela and it’s a sweet little a line dress— always here for a mod shift. I think it’s interesting that many headlines mentioned how she was channeling Jackie Kennedy, when they’ve famously always labeled her a Marilyn.
So that was this week! Considering doing a, best fashion moments of 2024 post, but I don’t know.
TTYL!!!
