Originally I was going to include some of my favorite looks at the end of my weekly newsletter, like I always do, but I realized there was too much i wanted to talk about!
Before you ask why almost everyone was wearing Gucci, it’s because Gucci sponsored the event. This seemed to be an issue for a lot of people which like, lol what did y’all expect them to wear?
Is it simple? Yes, but compared to things I’ve seen Addison wear in the past, I’d say this is a step up. I enjoy the deep v and the way the sleeves make it look like she’s wearing a little shrug. I know fabric moves and folds, but a little bit less puckering would have been nice.
I don’t mind this. I really like the color scheme and I like the untied collar. I like the velvet in the lapels tying in with the velvet of the pants, and I’ll be honest, I do love a flair, but the pant could have been just a tad shorter.
The embellishments on this are obviously gorgeous, I always think about the people who make these garments in moments like this. Pink and red are one of my favorite color combination so that’s clearly a win for me, and I think the little collar is so cute The gloves seem to be one with the sleeves, which I like, but they look a little bunchy around the wrists. On another note, the amount that stray feather made me laugh is concerning.
Okay ma’am, you are glowing. These colors, the matching lipstick and little head wrap moment!!! I’m also guilty of throwing on some white socks with formal shoes. Weather it be loafers or a heel, I just think it adds a bit of fun, within reason, and here I enjoy it. I think a lot of the time when designers dress older women, it can be a little safe and boring, and this is a good example of how something can still be fun while being age appropriate.
I feel like this is an unpopular opinion, but I really like this. I’ve been enjoying seeing Billie explore her sense of style and this is going in a direction that we haven’t seen too much of yet. It’s sexy and fun while still being elegant. I also like how the sheerness on the top and the tights give me the feeling of a bodysuit. I wish I could see a little bit more under the fur to get a better idea of the whole look.
Yeah, this is a no for me. I don’t enjoy the random, asymmetrical tufts of fabric. Something about this feels incomplete to me. It’s like too much, but also not enough.
I’m not sure if it’s the lighting making the gown lighter on top, or if it’s actually a gradient, but I’m in love with this color. I think the cutout, embellished panels on the side are lovely and add a little bit of shaping to an otherwise, sheath-like dress. I have synesthesia, and when I see this color it smells like a perfume my mom used to wear when I was little, just in case you were curious.
I sometimes feel like it’s wrong of me to judge a child’s outfit, but also this girl does not care what I think, she is doing just fine. Anyway, Charli’s looks never hit for me, but I do think this gown fits her really nicely. The bustier top looks lovely on her, and the top reminds me of a cummerbund, but around the breast instead. I like that it’s not too long, however she’s a little crinkly and wrinkly.
I always have to give myself a pep-talk in which I remind myself that I can not let my crush on this woman cloud my judgment when reviewing her looks. With that being said, it’s just not my favorite. The top isn’t too bad, but the pants are leaving my brain void of good opinions.
Just me, saying for the millionth time, that I feel like Dixie has fashion girl potential. However, how is that potential ever supposed to be reached when she keeps the girls famished. I’m just a tiddly tad bit bored. Not too crazy about that wrapped, asymmetrical hemline either. Like the shoulder though.
When I saw this, I gasped. All the gatherings of the fabric at the top are so stunning. It’s really doing just the right amount. I even like that flower on the collarbone, it definitely adds a Gucci touch. Sleeping Beauty really said, I’m ready to take over for Maleficent. When do I start? Definitely one of my favorite looks of the night.
This is so boring and really doesn’t make me think of Westwood. Don’t like the one sleeve, and the neckline looks weirdly draped.
This feels very consistent to what you usually see Florence wear from Gucci. I’m lukewarm about it.
Hailey is giving, rich Upper East Side WASP mom. Hailey has definitely been doing better lately when it comes to fashion, but I’m not super blown away by this. Is it just me, or is there something strange about the top of this? Like, does it feel a bit too large?

I love this! It’s so cute and fun. I get so excited every time I see Tomo Koizumi’s work being worn. I think he adds something new and fresh to the large, puffy styles we’re used to seeing from brands like Giambattista Valli.
I really enjoy these Gucci jackets with the feather sleeves. People seem to be annoyed about seeing them so much, but hey, to each their own. I think the pants fit well, the pink looks really sweet with the white, and I do enjoy the wrap top, however I’m not sure we’re supposed to see that wrap tie? I think it’s supposed to be tucked in. If I’m not mistaken, Harry Styles wore it on tour at MSG, night 2.
I really enjoy how the colors of the pants and sweater tie in with the jacket. I wouldn’t have minded a scarf, just maybe not that one. The pants are also a little bit too long and I think I would have preferred the jacket without the sequins.
This color looks gorgeous on her, and I don’t have to tell you that I like the sleeves, however there’s something about the top part of this gown that’s throwing me off. Maybe if it was all the same shade of pink?
Everyone’s favorite jacket is back!!! I think this suit is fun, it fits nicely, and I like the color of the feathers and the color of the shirt underneath, together.
Law brings me so much joy. I really love this leather moment. The shoe is fun, and the pants are a little long, but here it works because the fabric has enough structure. I also like the asymmetrical tuck of the shirt and jacket. It’s very much giving, 2 cool 4 u. xoxo.
Third times the charm on the jacket, y’all. I still love it though, and yellow is my favorite color, so. Fit’s very nicely, and I do actually like the brown loafer with this look. The one thing I would have maybe changed is the necklace. Perhaps something gold and hanging or nothing at all.
I haven’t really seen people wearing this collab, but I do enjoy this look. You get the Balenciaga from the pant/boot and blazer, and the Gucci from the print.
Little bit boring. I think I could forgive the butterfly if the squiggles above it were something else. It’s definitely better than her look at the Gucci Love Parade show.
This looks like if Disney World tried to make Cinderella a recreation of Kendall Jenner’s Met Gala look. Someone please help Paris and get her to wear better things and cooler brands.
Why is it that every time I see her in something, it feels like she’s swimming in it. Not only does this just feel like it’s too much on her, but it’s also quite aging.
Listen, this gradient is nice and all, but it’s just a boring dress, anD YOUR HUSBAND IS FRANÇOIS-HENRI PINAULT. Ajak wouldn’t put up with this.
I enjoy the gloves, however the top and bottom of this gown are just not working together here. I think it would have been really lovely to see that top motif taken all the way down the dress.
This is simple, but sweet. I don’t think I’m enjoying the two fabrics together, once again, but I really like all these colors together.
Okay, Dr. Strange looks boring and his pants don’t fit well. This gown on Sophie though?! Kind of obsessed with this quilting. Not too obsessed with that belt tied around the waist, but really into this concept.
Just a cool girl looking cool!!! Here I don’t mind the two different fabrics. I think it’s maybe because there isn’t too much lace. Really enjoy the champagne with the silver, and the full feather sleeve.
This is a little bit confusing to me. I’d like to see the blue suit without the coat, because maybe worn separately they work better. The coat is also reminding me of Prada FW18, I believe.
And there we have it. Overall, not too many horrendous moments. I think my best dressed has to go to Elle Fanning or Celeste. Worst? I was going to say Eva Longoria but upon scrolling back, it has to be Phoebe Bridgers.
plz, remember these are just my silly little opinions. don’t come for me.
